One of the amazing benefits of incorporating more fruits, vegetables, and leafy greens into our diet is the way our taste buds change and we begin to crave more and more of these fresh ingredients over time.
If you can't use spinach, you can substitute butter leaf lettuce. If you can't use tomatoes, substitute ripe mango. If neither works, blend banana with greens instead โ just don't include both banana and tomato, as they don't digest well together.
English cucumbers are a fun option when making noodles because of their small seeds. When using organic cucumber, you can leave the skin on. With conventional, peel first and discard skins.
If you're having Spinach Soup on Day 9 of the Simplified Cleanse, leave out the cucumber noodles. You can blend cucumber into the soup instead โ stick to juiced or blended foods only that day.
Make sure to enjoy the Spinach Soup raw rather than warming it up. The healing benefits of the fresh ingredients are preserved when consumed unheated.
